Artist

Anna studied at The Circus Space, London. Before founding her own companies Crashmat Collective and the Mary Bijou Cabaret & Social Club, she was a freelance performer. Anna toured with Nofit State Circus for three years in the internationally acclaimed performance of ImMortal (Dir. Firenza Guidi). She performed in NoFit State Circus Parklife (dir.Orit Azaz), co-production with National Theatre Wales Mundo Paralelo (dir. Mladen Materic Tattoo Theatre, France) which performed at London International Mime Festival Jan 2012, Labyrinth (dir.Firenza Guidi)- a resident show at the Eden Project, Willi Dorners Bodies In Urban Spaces Swansea, Norfolk and Norwich Festivals own Spiegeltent show Les Enfant Perdus. She also featured in the film "Y Syrcas" (dir. Kevin Allen) on S4C. Since 2002 she has worked as a freelance circus coach and has taught hundreds of circus classes at NoFit State Circus and around the world. Anna specialises in vertical rope and hula hoop and loves a nice cappuccino.
In 2010 Anna co-founded Crashmat Collective with Paul Evans out of a desire to direct and produce their own work. Crashmat Collective received several rounds of funding from Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of England and support from Circus Futures, Wales Millenium Centre, Riverfront Theatre and NoFitState Circus to create and tour their debut show Façade.
Around the same time she co- founded the Mary Bijou Cabaret and Social Club with the wonderful George Orange, because they wanted Wales' capital Cardiff to have regular cabaret nights. Hitch, their tribute show to Alfred Hitchcock, directed by James Williams, toured to Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Royal Welsh College Of Music and Drama, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Gwyn Hall, Torch Theatre, Ffwrnes, Brighton Fringe Festival, Postcard Festival at Jacksons Lane Theatre, Canterbury Festival, Macchynleth Comedy Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, Blysh festival, Big Splash Festival, Riverfront Theatre and more.
Hitch was commissioned by Wales Millennium Centre and supported by Arts Council of Wales and Arts Council of England.

Anna is on the board of the Verein Contemporary Circus Österreich and co-founder of the CircusTrainingsCentrum Salzburg, where she continues to teach and train.
